Dry Oats

Many of us have found that food plays a large part in our physical and mental health. Some of us struggle with our relationship with food. What are you eating (or not eating) these days?

Dry Oats

Anyone else like to take a hand full of plain dry oats
and eat them as is
I like it late at night for some reason

the oats are so cool
each one from a grain that was grown
it takes a lot of work to get each bit out by hand
but with new machines they all come out fast
which means that we can get them cheap

I have a whole can that only cost about $3
I can grab a handful of oats and eat them like nothing

if I was to grow oats
I would have to work for hours to cut the grain
and then pop off the heads
and then husk everything
just for a handful of oats

now I can just walk to my cabinet
and grab a handful whenever I want

maybe that's why I like them plain
and uncooked
I know how much work it would take me to get that handful
now it's nothing

now if we spill a little bit of oats
we sweep them up and throw them away
not knowing how much work
used to go into getting each oat before
