An amazing vegan food channel

Many of us have found that food plays a large part in our physical and mental health. Some of us struggle with our relationship with food. What are you eating (or not eating) these days?

Someone told me about breatharians. Is that even a thing?

Well I met a woman once who said that she didn't eat anymore and that she had gone through some sort of process over 21 days I think that meant she no longer needs food. She did holotropic breathwork and had some pretty far out spiritual experiences. She was from former East Germany and had a lot of thoughts and experiences around being spied on and the Stasi but then that is not surprising really.
Anyway,I found it hard to believe.I do think that you could probably live on chi energy if you where linked up somehow.
I know that sometimes when I have been loved up so to speak you can eat very little because it is almost like the love sustains you so maybe there are people living off chi energy.

Hi Naomi,

Interesting woman. I had a University friend from East Germany who talked about how marvellous East Germany was. Anyway yeah don't ask me how but I think it's probably possible for some people. Weird to think about.

Back to vegan food. I think a lot of it is delicious. At the moment I am being vegetarian when I am out Nd just eating whatever we cook together at home. I think veganism is more consistent than vegetarianism.

my current soup recipe.

Chop lots of onions
chop lots of carrots
chop lots of potatos

fry onion in veg oil in pot until soft, add potatoes and carrots, let simmer a little.
add lentils,at the moment I am adding brown ones or green, add some pimento, maybe a little cumin,I am going for a slightly spicy flavour rather than a curry one.
Let everything really simmer and allow natural liquid form the veg to cook it but add a little water to help of needed.
Add some tomato passata and leave to cook,
Add veg bouillon or stock cube, herbs to taste parsley and mixed.
And yum you have a soup to last you for some days of cold weather and to warm your cockles.

there are many variations but this is the one I am into just now.
and that's it for anyone interested.I am just trying to while away my day a little and pretend I have a friend who is interested:)sometimes that's all you got:)

gonna bump this thread again.

I know quite a lot of people struggle with motivation for cooking and eating healthy.I have done as well many times when I just cannot be bothered or feel like it.
I know it can be hard to eat healthy in a pretty toxic food environment full of crappy things to eat and it can be hard to know what is good or right to eat for us especially if we have become dissociated from our bodies in many ways for various reasons.

BUT...I do believe with the right planning, information, prioritising most of us can eat a healthy diet and for an affordable price.I think it just takes some planning, knowledge and some inspiration to do so.

I did hear that good sleep can have more of an effect on health than anything else.
I think it has all become too complicated and that if we just try and stick to what we kind of know is good for us,like trying to eat god amounts of fruit and veg even if frozen and stay away from processed high salt/sugar then we cannot go too far wrong and try listening to our own bodies which I know can be difficult for some.

I really hope I don't sound preachy on this.

I just think eating good food is a way of showing ourselves some self love and respect,it can be a great thing to do for relaxation and stress relief and also for sharing with others.
I think the fact that cooking and sharing food has become such a rare thing for us to do in our culture is sad and that opening up things out of packets is many people's default is sad.
